Next Page is part of a global committee by Ecma International to standardize Ecma Office Open Extensible Markup Language (Open XML).

According to the Microsoft Corporation, this global standardization is experiencing widespread use and positive momentum.

Microsoft Nigeria Representative, Ms. Ndidiamaka Victoria Uwadoka, Manager of Public Relations and Events, commented that over 2,000 partners representing 67 countries on 6 continents have approved ratification of OOXML by the International Standards Organization.

This international standard is praised to increase productivity and decrease costs. According to Microsoft, the format “gives partners many opportunities to innovate and deliver full value of XML-based technologies to customers” (Highway Africa News Agency).
